Erica Roberts
Erica is an oil painter who creates artwork in a dark-ethereal style. Despite her lifelong passion for art, she earned her MS in Mechanical Engineering and worked in the field for five years. Though she still enjoys tinkering, she’s now a full-time artist.
Erica’s inspiration hatched in childhood under the influence of her older sister, who told her spooky and fantastical stories. The two of them often explored the boggy forest around their home, discovering treasures like frogs, snakes, and wildflowers. Shaped by these adventures, Erica paints surreal characters in vibrant, imaginary worlds. She makes her artwork with saturated colors and tightly-rendered details.
Erica lives in Michigan with her spouse, Andrew, and her very good dog, Baxter.
